Eg Vucå Hÿyachu (/vuˈkɑː/ /hiʤakˈhu/ [casual] [hate]) is a subtropical Town located in Thêvllodè County, Lälhulål Kingdom, within the United Kingdom of Undermountain.

The name Eg Vucå Hÿyachu is derived from the Dwarven language, as Eg Vucå Hÿyachu was founded by Tizsael Zehndtubgähdä Zehndtubckexu Zehndtubckexu Härtedrayd, who was culturaly Dwarvern.

Climate

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1286, by Tizsael Zehndtubgähdä Zehndtubckexu Zehndtubckexu Härtedrayd. The establishment of Eg Vucå Hÿyachu was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Tizsael Zehndtubgähdä Zehndtubckexu Zehndtubckexu Härtedrayd struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Eg Vucå Hÿyachu as a prison colony.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu was built using the conventions of Dwarvern durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Eg Vucå Hÿyachu is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu is is constructed arround a series of narrow canals mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Unfortuantly, these exceptionaly well made fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Eg Vucå Hÿyachu ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. The people are clearly worried about something, and everyone is either wearing a weapon or has one close at hand. Your gut tells you it’s not mere fate which has caused this town to begin failing...

Civic Infrastructure

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Eg Vucå Hÿyachu. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Eg Vucå Hÿyachu's parks.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Eg Vucå Hÿyachu's natural decorations nor waterways.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

The locals are convinced that there is some terrible threat against them working from within their society. It may be a matter of dark sorcerers, foreign spies, traitorous neighbors, shape shifting monsters, or some other hidden evil. This evil may be a recent fear, or it may be an inherited peril they’ve always had to guard against. The danger itself may or may not exist, or if it exists it may not justify the steps being taken.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for the combined use of arcuated and trabeated construction, employing arches and constructed with post and lintel. The arch served as the style's chief structural element, with flanking columns serving as buttresses or decorations. While the general shape of their structures could be generously described as simplistic, the use of these arches and columns created a most distinct ascetic which is easily distinguishable on sight to armatures and experts alike.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is skipped in Eg Vucå Hÿyachu.

The Serpentfolk near Eg Vucå Hÿyachu are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Eg Vucå Hÿyachu's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves bloodletting to channel Charm energies of tier 3 via proclamations.
